Hi! My name is Dov Plawsky. I started getting serious about photography roughly 4 years ago. Like a lot of people, I started off with a point & shoot and eventually graduated to a full DSLR.
I like to shoot anything that catches my interest but I typically find myself focusing (pun intended) on Nature and Travel related subjects. I particularly like macro photography because it brings out details that I never realized were there. I sometimes play around with Photoshop but usually only apply some basic sharpening, contrast and exposure adjustments.
Up until a year ago I was working in the corporate world but I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to pursue my passion. I created Beyond Your Bag as a way to bring photographers together and to share knowledge with one another. As photographers, we are always eager to learn and in return pass that information on to others. Hopefully this blog provides the medium to make that happen.
I wrote a brief story about how I rediscovered photography here if you would like to read it.
